Welcome to Picnic at North Stores.
Picnic Real Food Bar offers eat-in, takeaway and take-home food. We favour local and seasonal produce, and nourishing food made with care. Our bar is stocked daily with freshly made salads, house-baked pastries and a range of healthy, wholefood options.
We serve natural Australian wine, craft beer, mountain cider, organic kombucha and micro roastery Reuben Hills coffee. We freshly cold press our juice every morning.
Here, you can relax on our deck and have a bite to eat, or let us pack you a picnic box so you can throw a rug on the grass at one of the many scenic spots across the mountain. Locals and weekenders may like to stock up on provisions or order a picnic box to take home.
Sustainability is important to us, so we’ve invested in a closed-loop system that turns our kitchen waste into compost so we can minimise garbage and nourish our already rich, red volcanic soil. On the North Stores grounds, we’re establishing a working kitchen garden, where we’re growing herbs, citrus and seasonal veg. We’re doing our best to use environmentally friendly methods across the entirety of our business.
Picnic also hosts the occasional pop-up event: think Sunday sundowner BBQs and Friday night cook-ups under a vast starry sky.
